BIOS

Bios is Basic input/output system, the bootstrapping chip on our neocortex. The waking every morning checking where, how, with what, with who, am I.
Bios identifies, organizes, sums up the pieces we count with, and sets us up ready and prepared.
Bios is becoming alive, and the programming lines that check the fact every now and then.

Biopsy, on the other hand, is the surgical procedure to check the functioning of isolated cells. And watch closely how the usual suspects are behaving.
Biopsy is also a bomb medical institutions drop in our lives, to give us a good scare and remind us how invaluable their services are to us, and how important we are to them.

Biopsy is disruption: you cut up, dye, and watch. The knife cuts not tissues, but rythm. They tell you you need a biopsy, so you panic and dismantle. Ok, so this is as far as I get. You get ready to part, as satisfied and joyful as you manage, and call your friends to give them instructions on where to spill your ashes.

So biopsy is the virus. Nobody should have to be told that the end is near... we should all be aware enough.
